Telecommunications Room
The definition of a Telecommunications Room (TR) is: An enclosed space for housing telecommunications equipment, cable terminations and cross-connect cabling, and is the recognized location of the horizontal cross-connect. So the key difference is the term ‘Central’ in the ER versus the term ‘Horizontal’ in the TR.
