TeraSPEED® is CommScope’s zero water peak singlemode (ZWP-SM) fiber solution that’s designed to operate over the entire wavelength range — from 1280 nm to 1625 nm. By removing the water peaks (high attenuation) in the 1400 nm window, TeraSPEED increases the useable wavelength range over conventional singlemode fiber by more than 50 percent.

TeraSPEED is a cost-effective way to build today’s enterprise and metro campus backbones while still being ready for next-generation equipment. TeraSPEED allows up to 16 channels of coarse wave division multiplexing (CWDM) and delivers up to 400 channels of dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM). As technology improves, this full spectrum fiber is ready to perform — capable of supporting higher speeds and multiple wavelengths.
